I see nothing good to come out of this, not for Lee. I question whether Mr. Lee can even reason this out, to think through what the likely outcome is and what it could cost him.

Think about what he's been given, what he's been offered. What saddens me is his relationship with Paul may have been becoming better than ever. The two may have finally been getting to know and understand one another. To be that close, then to risk dashing it all, makes no sense.

I have another friend who is an investor. He thinks Lee has a knack for making wrong decisions in matters outside of science, and questions whether its because of his scientific brilliance, that there is an inverse relationship between one and his even understanding the ways of business and law. I think great scientists and engineers tend to isolate themselves from the greater world, and one result of that is you can fail to see the potential consequences of your decisions, which is how the real world may differ from science, where in science you are confined to controlled experiment, where results are more immediate. In life, often you don't see the results, and therefore the risk of your decision til well down the road, til you realized your mistake.
