Maybe but unlikely soon, end of this quarter, with the coming phone, more probably the next generation of phones, that would be late spring.

If apple uses liquidmetal they have to be sure they can make enough to meet demand. Not easy.

I think there is a fair chance they might use liquidmetal on a semi-experimental basis on the shuffle or nano first. They'd need less metal and less cases and so could see whether it was going to work out.

Kids like the nano, its kind of jewelry. So a nano with 3D etching would make sense. That 3D etching is a big selling point IMHO. You could see it across a room. Big branding thingee. When it makes it to the iPhone (assuming) 3D Apple logos will be seen across America and across the rooms of Starbucks in huge numbers.
