Tradestation looks good. I would also recommend Think Or Swim. Right now I only use it for charting. It was so easy to set up a paper account. The charts are LIVE but the trading information is 20 min delay on the paper account.

So I use the paper account for TA and I use TD Waterhouse for the trades and live quotes.

Think or Swim in Canada requires a large amount of capital to go live with them (well large for a newbie like me). Once I build this capital up I will transfer my funds over to ToS (Think or Swim)

The platform is almost identical to Tradestation (from the screen shots).

The good thing is, the paper account is free and easy to set up. With that you get the real time charts.

I am not sure of their comms if you were going to use them to trade, you would have to look that up since I am in Canada.
