I agree with your interpretation. I'd add that the good thing is that two years ago, Gartner hardly acknowledged that TPMs existed.

Now they get their own slide and an acknowledgement that they are becoming a standard. This means that everybody has to educate THEMSELVES to what it is all about. Makes it much easier for Wave and Dell to sell the stuff.

From a slog to a limp to a slow walk..... but one can hear the marching tunes being practiced in the background. And Snackman is right..... Gartner may be behind the curve. After all, acknowledging how important TPMs are is tantamount to admitting that they missed the development in the first place.
