first, why do you think that the RM would be with a start up with no revenue? The benefit of a RM for a private company is to have a quicker transition to become public. Once public they can more easily qualify for loans, which could reduce the need for dilution. not saying that will happen, but it is certainly on reason why people invest in shells.
Second, Yes it is a gamble. Pinks = gambling, RM pinks even more so. My money is already in, so the gamble is over. I'm just looking for an exit. Did you see how the pps moved when it was announced that there may be a deal? Just think what would have happened if the deal was closed. My planned exit was after the announcement of the closing. i wasn't holding until next year. news of a possible RM pushes up, news of completion gets most of the longs out cleanly.
