This case is tough, and the path she takes in ruling will define her as a judge.

She does seems to be oblivious to things around her sometimes. JMW would have been better served to simply adjourn the hearing with no comment if she was still befuddled(as it seems by her comment) in reaching a decision. Not very professional for someone in her position,imo.

In the AM she said "she was a long way towards making a decision." before the arguments even started.

And in the PM: she said "that today did little to change" things.

Bingo! That's my read. The morning started off with her sparring with and teasing BR and inviting him to sit down and shut up, because she had already read all the arguments and had gone a long way down the road she has to travel to analize the facts and arguments and render a decision. Despite that, he and everybody else insisted on talking anyhow (as she knew they would), so at the end of a very long day she closed the parentheses by, in essence, joking with the attorneys by sarcastically saying she wasn't any closer to her decision than she had been at the beginning of that long day. It's as simple as that. Trust me.
