CUB creates a new position, Director of Corporate Development, whose duties include M&A:

Cubic Corporation has named Norman Bishop for the newly created position of Director of Corporate Development… Bishop will be responsible for providing strategic and analytical support for mergers and acquisitions.

Although the PR states that Bishop will investigate companies to acquire, he might conceivably play a role in CUB’s selling itself to a larger company. As previously mentioned, buyout vig is one of the reasons I own this name.
