Today's PR is all about how one defines "strategic alliance"...

RTG Ventures Signs Agreement With Origin Digital, an Accenture Company

Hmmm... an agreement...

RTG Ventures has integrated the Odaptor Platform, Origin Digital's proprietary software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, into CloudChannel to seamlessly handle video asset management and transcoding as well as live and on demand streaming.

Sounds like RTG licensed the Odaptor platform...

I see nothing to suggest that Origin Digital has any relationship with RTG beyond a license of the Odaptor platform! It is like me announcing a strategic alliance with Microsoft because I bought Windows 7...

This PR looks to me like little more than name dropping of Origin Digital and Accenture! I do not see an announcement of this "strategic alliance" put out by either Origin Digital or Accenture...

Nor do I see RTG listed as a partner by either company:

I'm sure someone here can elaborate on this "alliance" and what the real nature of the relationship between the companies is, right?

They did for other alliances with Origin Digital and A N Other...
