NukeJohn, I agree! If Google was willing to pay 12.5 billion for Motorola Mobility, then what kind of figures are being discussed for Interdigital. Has to be at least 15-20 billion.

That's 12.5 billion plus 7 billion in debt that they are assuming.So the value is closer to 18 billion. Can someone tell me how many patents MMI owns? Thanks in advance.

Motorola thinks quite differently about their own LTE position. Their stated asking price for LTE is 2.25%.

Regardless though, one of the keys to Google's acquisition was likely that Apple doesnt have a 3G license. Nobody doubts Motorola's CDMA IP.
