Len,regarding a tsunami in Florida. When the big one hit awhile back they had write-ups in the Florida papers about the chances of one hitting Florida. The scientists pretty much all agreed that because both coast lines of Florida have such shallow water that it is unlikely that a tsunami could occour.
There was a tv program on some time after the December 2004 tsunami. It was about a volcano in the Canary Islands. There is a potential for a 20 kilometer long section of the volcano falling into the sea. It would create a tsunami far larger than the 2004 killer.
