Eventually a sufficient number of people will recognize the NYT for the propagandist rag that it is and it will wither away.

LOL. Almost on a daily basis I read and hear people who demonize the Times, then a few minutes later cite something from it to support a favorite position. It's been around for over 150 years, hopefully my favorite paper has just a bit longer to go before it withers. :-)

“North Dakota is not as bad as Kazakhstan, but this is not what you would expect a civilized, efficient society to do: to flare off a perfectly good product just because it’s expensive to bring to market.”

Let’s see, the NYT opposes new pipelines and considers flaring unconscionable. Well, that leaves one obvious solution: no production of hydrocarbons whatsoever.
