The Count... Hey man, your posts are welcome anytime IMO, and I don't think you ever interupted anything that probably didn't need interuptin' (is that a word?).

As for the JPO issue, I agree it deserves some research. I think you are referring to this...On the other board, Atomic Bob's, some of the attendees (including teecee) claimed that Merritt or Lemmo stated the JPO patents in question have been "approved"... don't know if that is the exact wording... and that the company was in "discussions" with Matsushita.

It sure seems like important info to me, since jimlur and many others here have spent many hours researching and digging for info on the subject. And as you know, it has been 'cussed' and discussed on this board for years.

Maybe jimlur can shed some light on it. Maybe he can call teecee and get the lowdown.... uh...maybe not... sorry. There I go again trying to make a joke.

Something might be up with the MATSUSHITA 3G patents. From the latest 10K, this is the first time I have ever seen the following statement:

..."We are in discussions with MATSUSHITA as to the impact of various patents that have been issued in Japan and other countries to ITC

I'm going to call Janet Monday and see if she can clear up this issue.

In the post below by Marchma it appears the patents have been approved but what I don't understand is the discssion part. I was under the impression once the patents were approved IDCC would start recognizing some of the up front money they gave IDCC 4 years ago.
