A couple examples for you.
A few years back GTE announced a JV agreement with TrueSpeed Wireless. I and others were excited about the possibilities of the venture. About a year when by before we found out through the SEC filings that this deal did not work and was terminated.
The same can be said of the ONQ/Bill Express program which to date is still not up and running and may never be, also noted in SEC filings.
Not all agreements work out and that is very much a part of most businesses. My point here is this. None of the above were PR's or updated in shareholder letters, the SEC filings were the source of answers. I expect that route to be more prevalent now that GTE is on the AMEX, jmo...good luck..rock
