I think you have done a great intellectual job choosing GTE. The reason we went to CA for the April 12th unveiling was to meet the people running GTEL. Then we went to NYC to be with the management and Board Members of GTE at the AMEX reception. On both occasions we went away feeling extremely secure about our investment. I do not reveal my financial positions to anyone except my CPA and the IRS. My broker and banks only know what I want them to know. Just be assured that we have quite a bit invested in GTE.
We have great management, products and services. When you meet people one on one you can look into their eyes. The eyes do not lie, they are the windows to the soul. I trust the management and for me growing up in and around NYC I usually don't trust anyone. I see that you are from Chicago so you must be like me. The only difference is that I am twice your age and have had a lot of experience in the business world.
Try to trust you judgement. You have choices. My belief is that you have chosen a winner with GTE. The people at GTE are good people. They have a lot of work ahead of them and as a company we have a ways to go. Try to think positive and remain positive no matter what post you read on any board. Imagine GTE hitting an exact high SP. We are all on the same team.
Personally I am thinking that the sky is the limit. For me there is no other way to think! Good luck to you and have a relaxing weekend. We will succeed.
