Confusion, obviously. Like it or not, you mention GTE and people think it is the old GTE. Then you have to explain that GTE is really a new company using an old symbol. But why use an old symbol in the first place? Why not pick a new one? How hard could it have been?
Huff should've vetoed GTE as a symbol. Yet he didn't. Now the symbol lingers under a cloud of confusion. Witness Cramer's response. Doesn't matter if you think Cramer's picks are crap. The damage has been done.
Kramer has bad-mouthed other stocks I have owned before - with the expected negative results. He is usually loud, not fully informed and generally obnoxious IMO.
I don't know why anyone would want to get Kramer involved with GTE - he is likely to just continue trash-talking GTE.
He will never correct himself or give you any good PR no matter what you email him. - IMO
