Centerline, I don't agree. First, the "news" about MOT is not really about MOT, but rather about Icahn telling MOT to do the same thing IDCC is contemplating. MOT has not made that decision, they have not hired investment banks or entered into serious DD with any potential buyers. Second, the "selling" off the high occurred prior to those articles appearing. We were down below $75 when those articles hit my inbox. The selling, in my view, was more due to long-term shareholders taking some profits off the table, after waiting for 10+ years to see prices near $80.
That selling ran its course, and the buyers stepped back in after lunch. We stabilized with a sizable gain for the day.
However, if MOT does put their patents on the market then that could affect the interest in our company. But our LTE portfolio is so much stronger than MOT's, according to all reports, that I think it would be like apples to oranges. It all depends on who the buyer is and what they want to achieve.
MOT is late to the party, IMO, and Icahn is watching IDCC's share price rocket upward with great envy.
