I really don't see a conflict in "later this summer" and "later this year". Later this summer is later this year. Grammatically, there's no conflict. Realistically, from everything I've read, I don't think that THEY know the exact time frame. They're hoping this summer, but it could be the fall. They don't have control of everything so timeframes vary.
Seabass you are absolutely correct if the PR is only intended for print media. Which in financial news that is the case in almost all circumstances. Time lines are of great concern to all of us investors as it is a performance measure. Your e-mail to the company will hopefully reveal information of interest for all of us, including myself.
But to be more specific to your question I would place more credence in Mr. Huff's statement. Hopefully you receive a reply from investor relations to address your concerns.
