I suggest you visit Investopedia. It is a tremendous resource.

Here is a short reply, though.

Bid is what someone is actively willing to pay, also known as buys.
Ask is what someone is presently willing to sell, also known as sells.

If the current price amount is not one of those two numbers, it means that either the bid or ask MOVED after the most recent transaction - or at least that it is different. Usually, the ask would be, say .002 and the bid .0018. If someone really wanted to sell badly they could set their price at .0014 and it would sell at that price and the bid and ask would still stay the same.

Usually, the bid and ask change when all the shares at a particular price are sold/bought and each moves accordingly.

Bid-Ask Spread
What Does Bid-Ask Spread Mean?
The amount by which the ask price exceeds the bid. This is essentially the difference in price between the highest price that a buyer is willing to pay for an asset and the lowest price for which a seller is willing to sell it.
Investopedia explains Bid-Ask Spread
For example, if the bid price is $20 and the ask price is $21 then the "bid-ask spread" is $1.

The size of the spread from one asset to another will differ mainly because of the difference in liquidity of each asset. For example, currency is considered the most liquid asset in the world and the bid-ask spread in the currency market is one of the smallest (one-hundredth of a percent). On the other hand, less liquid assets such as a small-cap stock may have spreads that are equivalent to a percent or two of the asset's value.

I can tell you this 4 sure you didn't lower your average to .014, no way mathematically impossiblle!!

BID- the highest someone is offering to buy at

ASK- the lowest someone is willing 2 sell at

Today or last few days someone sold early in the day @ .0024

Hope this helps at least a little , surf the web and you can find many sites that will explain in much more detail...gltu
