He also said they do it all the time when people liquidate someone’s estate and the executor is clueless about how to sell off holdings. His opinion is that it’s a buying opportunity for strong stocks because the MM just wants to get rid of them and usually sells at a lower price to get buyers. It will stop when you see them change the order size or move off the Ask.
