Well, if they purchase the maximum amount of shares that they can per day (171K), then they would have 99 days worth of buying to get up to 17M shares.

If they divide the buyback period (12 months) into equal buys, assuming 250 trading days in a year, they would have to buy 68,000 shares/day.

If they buy the maximum amount of shares per day, but space each day out, they must purchase shares every two or three days (good estimate, jal).

Geez, seems like we just can't catch a break. A share buyback is announced and we drop? Load up while you can.
