I'm not going to complain if the company is going to make an effort to get the SP back up to $1 with these buybacks. I believe someone made the comment that they have to let the TSX know how high they are looking to target ($1) the SP as far as buybacks and they also are only able to buyback a quarter of the daily average volume of shares traded, so the effort will be limited by that.

If the mining sector money starts coming back into the miners in the next couple of monthes, as I hope it will, then management may not have to buy a lot of shares back IMO, but getting the SP back up to $1 asap is a good thing. There's no doubt in my mind that the $1 PP holders prompted this action by management.
