That is a very valid point. "Ramping up" should indicate that production is going to increase. It is all fine and well to speculate about taking orders for a very valuable product, but at the end of the day those orders don't amount to anything if you don't have a working production vehicle (i.e. adequate space for commercialization).

Ramping up is an exponential process that requires far less space in the early stages.

Basically whatever generation is in progress right now can continue uninterrupted up until egg laying stage. If there isn;t room to raise those eggs, they can be frozen and stored. But there is a better alternative to keep from losing time:

Many things KBLB is doing require lab space. But ramping up of the population to production levels could probably be done quite well in a warehouse location temporarily. (That's what I would do if I were Kim and something delayed the lab space.) The money gained by reaching the market sooner would far outweigh the cost of a temporary warehouse space including all adaptations necessary. It might even become the long term facility for breeding of production worms (you don't need lab space to do that in.)

So if it appears that there might be a significant delay in moving into a new lab space there is a readily available alternative. JMHO
