This just said commons will be cancelled... not yet cancelled but will be cancelled and does not expect to receive anything...

As previously announced, Nortel does not expect that the Company’s common shareholders or the NNL preferred shareholders will receive any value from the creditor protection proceedings and expects that the proceedings will result in the cancellation of these equity interests.

Note: The above statement from the 8-K says clearly, the words
"does not expect, and expects".


It does NOT say that the common shares WILL be cancelled


The wording, and word useage in documents, is critical to understanding what is actually going to happen.
