It's EZ to look at balance sheets when Oil is up and say....WOW that's outrageous....they still have to be able to find more Oil...from start to profit for a new well is VERY costly and takes a lot of time...just ask the smaller guys that had to shut down when zero shut them out of the Gulf...
With the risks they take and high stake gambles they have to make...I'm not worried about the profit they are making right now...but that's just me.
