I am not buying or selling tomorrow but can understand where Etrade MIGHT be coming from as there could be confusion in traders minds just what quantity they are buying. I would venture that you could buy thru a Etrade phone broker and still pay only the online commision. I have done this before in odd circumstanges. SG
Grapes all I know is that someone on another board said they could not sell any "online" shares. I tried myself to sell 100 shares "online" I have power etrade and went to my accts. page on three website and both times it would not let me sell. I called customer service and they transferred me to a broker who then put me on hold and came back and said "b/c of the pending RS and move to amex. all trades have to go thru one of there brokers (at E-trade) thats all she told me. I did not ask how long or when the R/S or move was taking place (as i was to Pizzed) so I politely hung up...Someone on another board said they have ameritrade and that they ARE NOT having this same issue.......
