Nice to hear from sombody else who understands, I to was taught by my old Pa. I KNOW that 8" dredge will have a throughput of 1200 gal a minute. If 10% of this is Material (recomended so as not to block system) then ths equates to about 1 ton per minute.
ie: 60 ton an hour.
This is fully processed useing top sluice.
They are virtualy useing the dredge as a GRAVEL PUMP now having removed top sluice and this will increase the heavy materials collected three fold. They will of course have to process the materials later or could be doing so useing top sluice as land based.
You are correct, this will not be a continueos process as they will hit different size and type of materials and have to adjust pressure and flow to suit.
