Good point but one might argue they were a little confused, etc and give them the benefit of the doubt. But once they received many calls at all they should have stopped and verified with the NASD for sure. But good point they should have known the date.

In fact that is the issue here. I believe they thought the date of record was the key date and not the ex-date.

In fact, I think they still do.
