I think there's a place for different kinds of PRs.

In my opinion, this was a useful primer for the kinds of folks that would be contemptuous of a pitchy kind of release. I thought it was nicely done for the CFO types whom PwC seem to be beginning to engage. Not too salesy, not too techie. Informative without being excessively detailed. About right.

My take on the release is it was written by an engineer and not a sales guy. I'm glad to see it but would like to see more releases such as this with more emotion as others have said.
