Keene used the term to refer to people who continued to believe in a paranormal event or phenomenon even after it had been proven to have been staged. You are exactly correct.

There are some people...so far gone in CMKX that Urban Casavant himself could write an apology letter from prison after pleading guilty in court and people would STILL think that its all part of some master plan.
