There was also 1 to 2 week delivery on the Dell printer cartridges that I recently ordered. They were shipped within 24 hours.

The delivery time is meaningless.

Orda - Dell builds the pc / laptop after you order it. That is their model. The sales folks will tell you their model calls for 3-5 days to build it then they have to ship it... the 1-2 weeks is appropriate when speaking about Dell...

Envoy timeline:

I got my Envoy shipment several days before I got my Latitude.

I would say I got my Dell ETS CD from Envoy 2-3 days after I placed my PC order with Dell.
