depends on the funds they have? If they have limited funds avail then it may not work and they may not get any.

Hi Gopher
There is no sure way to find out at what price this will open at and at which position your friends will get filled. By the time their orders are filled it could be at $2 or $5, or even more depending on the number of low sellers there is? Is paying $5 a share something that they are open to?

Gopher Gold. The worse mistake i ever made in stock was puting a market buy. Us say someone puts in a sell order at $10 tommorow, and goes to work. More than likely your friends order would get filled to the point of how much money your friend has for that $10. In my opinion its always a very bad ideal to put in a market order. Lots of luck to you and your friends. Go > PSPW

Rather than using market buy order i'd just set it at buy 2.50, you might probably and most likely get filled below anyway but just to make sure.

One thing about market orders is that if anyone has their sell set to 10.00 your market order will pick that up if you don't get anyone's below :)

This happened to me once (in reverse) where i set my GTC sell at .30 of a .05 penny stock and somebody apparently put in a market order buy and i was able to sell .30's even though the pps was at .08 I believe :)

Same with market sell, never do it.
