I don't know if it wouldn't hurt. A pro comes in, with his new broomstick. He may claim he needs a little time to learn the company, who would deny him that. Then he'll start the magic, and some investors are going to be very happy, because indeed the place will get cleaner and some results will be visible short term. The shares will even go up!
But then comes the moment some witches start a fire and start dancing around it! Now that or Pro showed how well he can handle the broomstick the witches won't hesitate to do anything to get him close to the fire and because it will be more difficult to perform well in a company you just cleaned out maybe you could sell something, or license something even under the price, who cares you don't stay anyway and you'll exercise your options as you go. And again it would look good on the shares price and will not go unnoticed with the witches! They'll even start to dance naked around the fire!
And if there all gone we'll be left with the coal and not 10% of what the share price could have been!
Really, I can agree this may not be perceived as the top team and as i wrote mistakes will have been made, but certainly whit what is about to happen I wouldn't vote for a change now!
