So you don't vote they can't lock shares? I thought they could automatically lock them unless you "deny"? Hmmmm

How are you going to find this out?? If I find out Schwab votes for me or locks my shares, I will sue them for fraud, and get myself a nice little settlement. :)

It is sad that in this once great Country we have to resort to actions like you propose. When sharks are in the water it is time to stay on shore. I agree 100% on your tactic of not opening the voting packet. I have not opened mine as I was just putting it off, but now I will file it unopened. Thanks for the tip.

Again, there are better ways of protecting yourself without robbing yourself of the right to vote. Vote to reject, leave both release election boxes unchecked. Photocopy your ballot and have someone witness as you place the ballot in the envelope and mail it. Then have that person sign the photocopy stating that the photocopy is a true copy of the ballot you mailed.

BTW, I think the entire idea that a broker would fill in the boxes for you and lock up your shares is just absolutely insane. The liability and treble damages that the broker would be exposed to for that kind of fraud would be so large that I have no doubt they will not play such a stupid game. The conspiracy theories on these WAMU boards is beyond belief.
