That's the funniest explanation I have heard so far as the catcher had his both feet to the first base side of the plate and was stretching his left arm while the runner slid. He only could have blocked the runner from first running backwards toward the plate.
Even MLB cuts a piece of the film so you don't obviously see it (which is incredible in and of itself). Unfortunately others aren't as deceitful. He tags him after he has already touched the plate.
