SeaView says they have a trade marks. Maybe someone can find out where trademark is filed? According to the state of Florida web site it is not. A trademark law suit would not be a good thing to see.

Hopefully someone can provide verifiable link to trademark

One last thing

"View Systems developed a digital surveillance system called SecureView(TM),that adds at least two high schools per week to its customer list. The SecureView(TM)resembles a VCR except it records digital images in real-time play. This contrasts to the analog version of the past century."

The Newest Trend in High Schools

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Every generation distinguishes itself, whether by history, politics, or pop culture. Lately tragedies like Columbine and the recent Santana High School shootings pepper the front pages of newspapers. Violence and technology have merged to characterize the newly dubbed Generation Y culture.

An Englewood, CO company, View Systems, wants to initiate another distinctive trend in high schools that may help Gen Y teenagers recapture some innocence.

View Systems developed a digital surveillance system called SecureView(TM) that adds at least two high schools per week to its customer list. The SecureView(TM) resembles a VCR except it records digital images in real-time play. This contrasts to the analog version of the past century.

"I see a paradigm shift in our culture, technologically and socially. I feel fortunate that our product can be instrumental in helping society," says Gunther Than, President and CEO of View Systems, Inc. "The digital video capability advances in the last decade can change the atmosphere of education systems."

The technology links security cameras with local police forces the same way a modem hooks up a home computer with the Internet. That way, police have a visual edge in responding to a crisis, they can monitor the problem as it develops, possibly preventing it from happening in the first place, or limit the scope of the problem when it does surface. For example, a squad car can access video cameras in the school from a laptop in the car while patrolling outside the school. In a Baltimore school district, the video gets transmitted to a central location. The officers then can monitor multiple locations and dispatch appropriately.

"It's an electronic hall monitor, if you will. A deterrent that helps students and parents alike to feel secure in their environments," continues Than.

Next the company plans to go wireless with palm pilot access to their security systems.

Technology will remain a benchmark of Generation Y. View Systems hopes its technology can reduce some of the violence and the stigma of tragedies from the Y legacy.
