No. Currently the landfill fee alone is $1,800 for a 20 ton trailer of plastic. Unless there's a landfill in the middle of the city of Niagara Falls, there's additional cost of transporting it further out.

Companies can give it to JBII for free (and already do....lots of them) and save $1,8000.

I was at the plant. I saw everything. It's free.

"Although many sources of feedstock are available, we are focusing initially on post-commercial and industrial sources, since these are readily available in large supply, and present a cost-effective solution for companies who currently have to pay to dispose of this plastic waste."

The non-recyclable "recyclable" waste is already being seperated and collected (usually by mandate) at no extra cost to JBI. That waste is already being shipped all over the country (and world) to landfills at no extra cost to JBI. The price of fuel is of little consequence when faced with legal mandates and requirements to dispose of this waste. It will be shipped and it will be tipped. Only question is where will it be shipped to and what happens to it when it gets there. Niagra Falls is just the begining. Last I checked the plan was for P2O to be replicated across the country and the world. Your waste would go to a local P2O sight which would in fact cut down on fuel usage. If this works (and you are willing to accept the use of hydrocarbon based motor fuel) then I do not see any down side to P2O at all. It is better than the current solution.
