#208254 RE: Chowder #208253

Chowder....The Heartland Payment systems breach was maybe the super ID theft of all time & I am only giving my eval of what happened. You can do your own research & prove otherwise.

Someone seems to have breached their data/computer center in 2008 & it involved millions of victims. Shareholders even did a CA suit claiming the company had substandard security, so there were ID theft victims as well as shareholders filing for damages from SP losses. I then remember there was a second smaller incident. Now there seems to be even more going on....check it out. All I ever saw was business as usual at this company & insurance settlements.....no TCG upgrades....thats just from my perspective, I am not in this loop. It shows me the answer to the daily list of ID theft, whatever the scope.....citizens dont seem to count, there could be continued breaches ad. fin. & they dont care until (maybe) ins companies react or maybe big money gets hit. I wouldnt think these events mean much after seeing the Heartland saga. I expect to see these breaches continue & this one was hacking into the system.....not a stolen or lost PC. This is all IMO & maybe Im wrong .....what do I know?
