mm2, you seem to know a bit more on numbers. what if,
the wal-mart deal (since the chain is if not one of the biggest) they depending on what type of deal it is, can bring in massive sales if they ever was bought into the retail stores.
lets just say the big 'if' deal ask for 40k units a year for the next 3 years.
just that alone (math wise) would it make ASR look alittle brighter?
I'm just trying to gauge how big of a distributor does ASR need before it matters, sure at the end of the day, the profit generated on paper from each quarter is what matters.
but dont forget getting the device into the hands of consumers is wal-mart's job. isnt it a win as long as they can sign on a deal getting it onto the shelf?
And wal-mart is only one of them.
I have to bring this up again if I havent and I thought I did once. back in 2000 I bought into a company which was around 1-2 dollars, the dot com bubble killed everything include that stock. and it went to pennies for years. my 1000 shares at the time appear to be written off, then years later, I think 2006-2007 suddenly I checked my account and it was back to 1.75, trading 1.5 at the time. I Was shocked and sold it immediately to regain my original investment. The story behind it was, the company had made a deal with wal-mart to sell their brand (computer PC) on their shelf. I havent checked to see how its doing now, but the fact is, the stocked moved just having a deal with wal-mart. I am willing to bet profit was not realize yet, the news was good enough to lift the spirit off that one.
Do we have a similar situation here? Sure the wal-mart news was leaked on FB, then again, until management comes out with a big CC update with sales figure/forecast and numbers and make it official, alot of investor are discounting all their efforts of late. Yes, lack of official news and update is whats killing the stock more than just bad numbers alone.
also most of us here have been following the company for at least 1-2 or even 3 years. And majority are well in deep red, so might as well hang in to see what happens. No point in bailing at this stage. the opportunity to bail was march 2010 for those who was caught in the 8 cent frenzy hype. It is still interesting that the company would come out saying it was over bought and price is too high. If the company had an agenda to steal every share holders money, then why would they come out with a statement like that? wont they come out and try to be more bullish in hoping the pps will continue to rise? I recall their statement were they want the company move on real news not on hype. My guess is that the Company has big plans down the road and would want to set themselves up when pps is low, they might of been taking advantage of this and intentionally staying hush to allow the pps to go as low as it did for 'a reason' then once time is ripe, they will be ready to swing the momentum on the other side.
still a gamble if you ask me, but hack they better be right. I figure they might also been offering new investor institute the same idea that have a plan and see the value to be at 2 cent pre-split. everything adds up, R/S, dozen of distributor channels, going global, what ever else they have up their sleeves, financial numbers forecast. might hit us faster than we blink.
