from giving the h/w specifications required for Longhorn other than indicating that a TPM will be required. So.....the questions beg....(i) how do the manufacturers know what to plan to build 6 + months from now, and, (ii) how do enterprises know the $$ millions they spend on hardware today for "trusted computing" will not be outdated within a year ? I guess the answer for both is they (manufacturers, enterprise)already know....it's just not public yet.
Question for the board. Phoenix Technology. First with the press release this week and a sponser to WinHec. No worries that the secure startup from Longhorn has Phoenix on board with additional options from Phoenix on the menu bar ?
