Thanks for the recon photo there pilot. Having the car & truck in the foreground really helps to see the scale of those items. I don't know what they are but it sure is good to see BOEMRE issuing new deep drilling permits again, up to #7 at last check.

All that subsea hardware starts to look alike painted in yum-yum yellow (favorite color of sharks and ROV pilots). Can't make out any logo but if any of my email contacts have an idea, I'll pass it along.

IWOCS – Intervention/Work Over Control System

Looks to be an IWOCS – who’s don’t know, not DPDW’s area of expertise. They could build, possibly even provide services, however not their segment of industry.

Drilling Permits – Although these are being doled out in red tape slow fashion, keep your eyes on the projects kicking off new production, this is the segment our DPDW group plays.

Installation of umbilicals, flying leads, buoyancy modules – equip. like this. Also Services such as hydraulic fluid pumping, pressure tests, and site (offshore) hydraulic fluid pump & test. If they have not priced themselves out of this market yet. Keep an eye on the large DP vessel contracts for installation, there is where the DPDW boys will play.

I got a couple bits of info on the objects in the photo

on the left it is a BOP stack and on the right is the Lower Marine Riser Package (LMRP) that mates to it

they are part of the equipment package used by drilling rigs

DDI doesn't make them or refurb them so I doubt they would be carrying a DDI logo

There might be some associated equipment that connects to it, insulation materials, flotation, sensors, fiber optics, yada,yada,yada with DDI tatoos or fingerprints

oh, and about 20 acres of drill riser buoyancy getting fitted up to join a spanky new drilling rig
