jersey... it may well turn out that GSII Longs end up with a stake in a trading stock that somewhat mitigates the frustrations of the past few years!
However, it in NO WAY lessens Gil's culpability in deceiving shareholders in the past as GSII spiralled down! I do understand how desperation and NOT FACING the reality of impending disaster in business leads to such acts.
Gil is NOT the first to behave this way... and surely NOT the last! Examples abound everywhere... new examples every year! Gil deserves whatever ANIMOSITY each Long stuck in GSII feels toward him... many probably risked too much in GSII based on GIl's rosy predictions while at the same time staying afloat with deceptions like the one he pulled on Gene!
Resumption of trading in shares of a R/M enterprise MIGHT attone for PART of Gil's pathetic behavior...
but I doubt that ALL will be made whole in their GSII investment...
there is no way to recover the time lost (or growth of invested funds lost during this period)...
and hardships suffered like Gene has experienced over this WILL NEVER BE UNDONE (& likely not even close to fully recompensed)!
MORE IMPORTANTLY... YOU have done everything you could possibly do to assist in the recovery here!
If there has been ANY DUPING since GSII ceased trading, it has added NOTHING NEW to losses GSII Longs already had at the moment GSII was halted!
IMO, jersey, you should never think you have facilitated Gil's victimizing shareholders (even if current hopes get dashed) because you became active in HELPING with the updating of financials (and documentation for the current R/M) well AFTER GSII ceased to trade. I would HOPE all Longs here realize this IF they reflect on the situation... and are honest about GSII events and statements made by Gil. I'm sure that any lingering animosity toward Gil will still be well-deserved on his part!
ON THE OTHER HAND YOU, jersey, will have EVERY RIGHT to assail Gil Slaton with every invective that you feel he deserves for FURTHER WASTING of your time and good faith efforts!
Sadly, (if your wasting more time proves to be) any chiding of Gil will likely be a futile exercise... Gil will be in hiding and not man enough to accept his blame!
