#8382 RE: VBgood #8380

VB, I don't twitter-I'm not a bird.

Unfortunately Fifer is not the President controlling all three branches of government. That is always a double edged sword that cuts both ways. Still no answers as to why??? However, I can say that as Martinelli chooses to go over the next few years is the way things will go. Why he is now adamantly opposed to mining and all its benefits for the country, I have no idea. But he repeated that mantra three times.

Only possible rational reason is purely political, to hold onto the votes. But actually, I think his actions will cost him more votes than he gains and a lot more money. The indians don't have much and the left wing will give him nothing.

As they say...the emperor now has no clothes! His public statements have hurt PTQ and Inmet as much as the repeal of the law. We will not know anything until the new bill comes out of committee. You can bet at best case that the Koreans, Singaporeans, and Chinese are gone for good. Anyone else wants to dump some serious money into Panama now, through direct foreign investment, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can let them have at a discount.

Long term someone will mine that gold.
After all PRD was pro mining until it looked like success would be favorable to CD.
Whomever is in charge after the next election will mine that gold and copper, but we might have to wait until then. Last time politics got into the mix we had to wait two years. Stock went from about $3.40 to $0.23 cents. I hate like hell to have to wait again another couple of years, but that may be in the cards. I had guessed before that it could drift down to $0.75, right now it has to go below $0.50 before I am interested.
