That's politics in any country. If there's one thing a politician understands more than money, it's a vote. Mining is getting hammered in La Prensa every time I've checked it for months and months. The leftists obviously have control of the press.

However, the people will not bite the hand that feeds them. We need to follow the Chilean model. Chile is loaded with leftists ... and also has a thriving mining industry. The climate where Chile mines copper is vastly different than where Inmet wants to mine copper and where we mine gold, but if we can demonstrate that the benefits of mining outweigh the costs, we will succeed.
