Ronnie.

You made your point well.

I was talking about other posters who repeatedly remind us that they achieved high levels in employment, which gives them an excuse for lowering ethical standards.

IMO, they should get over themselves.

On the other hand, there are several who have risen to high levels, who seldom breath a word of their achievements, because they've got it together.

Ronny .. ...."Competing with unethical businesses gives one no license to lower one's standards."

Again I agree completely. One should not lower ones' own standard no matter that others are may be lowering theirs. However dealing with unethical companies does exert much more pressure upon one to still maintain the right and proper standards. It would be much easier to maintain proper standards, if everyone else is acting in an ethical manner. I do see and understand this particular point.

Thanks for clarifying what I posted because I apparently had a miscommunication with Laranger and perhaps others. I was simply tring to point out that it is much harder to be successful while maintaing high ethical standards when the competition and/or customers are unethical. In this instance that is doubly so because of the highly unethical behaviour of NOK.

To further set the record straight I don't think that having a high position of employment gives one the right to lower their ethical standards in any area. If I in any way implied that, it was yet another miscommunication.

Danny
