Was the "old" equipment still in place when they got the new equipment? If so, why not run "as is" while the new equipment is being set-up.

Size constraints of the building that houses it all maybe? Cost efficiency considerations? Couldn't they reprocess any runs done on "old" equipment if the "new" equipment proves to be so much better? Or would that not be cost effective?

Just thinking............

Would like to hear anyone's perspective on this.
