Almost no one uses the yellow pages anymore. They list you in the yellow pages for free but no one notices your business unless you take a larger ad. Just having your business listed in bold typecosts $60 or more per month. A 2 inch by 1 inch ad costs over two hundred dollars per month. Also the yellow pages charges you more to be listed online, it's not included with the free listing. I use a service similar to directory.com for my business. When the economy was stronger I paid $349 monthly for one zipcode and was very happy with the response. I'm paying under $100 now but still happy with the results. People do a search in their area and find my business. Directory.com is the wave of the future for all types of professionals and business people.

Excuse me, I had not totally read your msg. The internet service is industry specific and it includes a free website. In my business people still care about human contact (relatively) early in the process. Large retailers market very agressively in your business and drive a lot of customers to their stores. You might check with your association and see who's trying to market to you potential customers online. A service like directory.com would probably charge you a lot less just to get other businesses like yours.
