So,... speaking hypothetically - IF a CH7 were to be approved (I don't see that happening IMO),... wouldn't they have to actually produce an asset list and some at least cursory valuation of what is being liquidated?

I disagree completely. Unless the judge is corrupt--I don't believe that she is--it absolutely DOES matter what is going on currently in her very own courtroom.
