my late brother and wife moved to c. in 65 parents did in 74 been down many times and enjoyed the area immensely. Haven't been back for a while and yes I find the Galveston Island drive a great drive as well as the Padre I. drive It is too easy to walk and turn around and see nothing but the sound of waves and engulfed in a mist coming off the water. Particularly being careful not to step on the blue bubble of the man-o-wars as they wash up on the shore. Writing this makes me realize that it has been way too long since I was there. I miss those times badly. I miss my brother and my folks too. Great memories.
