I think you were right.
The Deputy Minister of Labor and Workforce Development is out of the hospital now after being beaten, tortured,and cut by the indians yesterday when he tried to meet peacefully with them to discuss jobs and development that they need. As I write, Rogelio Moreno the chief is on TV publicly apologizing for the the second attack on the civilian government in two days. My guess is that he will soon be behind bars for his actions before in stirring up the trouble without cause.
He is now asking that all protests stop. What a friggin' joke, this guy is an embarrassment.
Needless to say the indians will get nothing now; I am sure that Hyundai and whomever else wants to bring in workers will get the visas they need. Fortunately this is all far away from Petaquilla and Cobre Panama. So much for jobs and workforce development for the indians....now they can go back to their jungles and starve.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Beating up twice the Deputy Minister of Labor and Workforce Development is unbelievable. This has badly backfired on the PRD.
Expect big announcements right after Carnival, between March 15th and April 15th. Anybody speak Korean???
