Ruffieruff believes they're trying to keep the price down. You're sense is that they're trying to get rid of the shares they've got.

I understand the scenario where a MM goes short to fill an order (say at .08), then moves to the bid to get those shares back cheaper.

But as billpr states - it feels to me that there's a lot of things attributed to what the MMs are doing that just doesn't make sense to me...
I don't have enough knowledge to state confidently that there's no way it's happening. And that's what I'm looking for. Details about what the MM's manipulation goals are and how they're doing it...
